Note from N'weti's Chairperson of the Board
Respected members of N'weti's Social Bodies, employees and partners, 2018 is the third year of our 2016-2020 Strategic Plan. The activities we set out to accomplish in 2018 were aimed at consolidating N'weti's contribution in the area of health communication. Aware of and committed to our vision of contributing to the improvement of the health status of Mozambicans through interventions aimed at guaranteeing access to quality health services and promoting social and behavioral changes at the structural, individual and community levels, at the beginning of the year, a set of actions that seemed to us quite bold. Even so, we accept the challenge of realizing them with the best of our knowledge, experience and commitment.
We arrived at the end of 2018, we are pleased to see that the level of achievement of the main performance indicators with which we commit in 2018 , was more than 95%, which leaves us quite satisfied. This positive performance was made possible thanks to the professionalism and enthusiasm of a large team of N'weti employees throughout the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Niassa, Sofala, Inhambane, Gaza and Maputo, in close collaboration with our implementing partners, civil society and government that have created the enabling environment for our work to run smoothly.
In a context where funding available to civil society organizations is increasingly scarce, our appreciation extends to our donors who have made available the resources needed to enable us to fulfill our mission.
I congratulate the members of N'weti's governing bodies, my peers, highlighting the tremendous contribution and commitment that the governance component of N'weti contributes to the results reflected here be aligned with the best governance practices applicable to organizations such as N'weti. It was certainly a year in which together we strengthened important aspects of governance and drew important lessons that will merit our attention in 2019. I urge all to read this report very carefully in the expectation that each and every one of us review the results presented here.
