Through the Hlayisa/Community-based HIV Services for Southern Region project, N'weti provided community-based HIV services in the southern region of Mozambique. The project was funded by USAID through PEPFAR and implemented by N'weti in Gaza, Inhambane and Maputo provinces of Mozambique in 2017-2021. It aimed to improve the HIV treatment, nutrition, general health outcomes, and livelihoods of people living with HIV–children, women and families.
This results brief showcases the achievements of the project, in relation to HIV testing services, linkage to care and treatment, support for treatment adherence and retention in care, as well as on community-led monitoring, and improvement of community information systems. Overall, the project had an excellent performance in terms of target achievement.
