Dear Rede de Aprendizagem (Learning Network), We extend our sincere gratitude for your continued support and engagement with the Rede de Aprendizagem since its inception in 2020. Your participation is invaluable, and it is through your support that this network thrives, and this newsletter remains meaningful. As we embark on the 2025 content cycle, we want to pause and share a summary of the publications from 2024 for those who may have missed them. This recap serves as a bridge to the new year, offering a look back before we move forward. This review will be particularly helpful as we navigate a complex global landscape. It’s important to acknowledge that both Mozambique and the United States face significant, though distinct, challenges in 2025. In Mozambique, the lingering effects of the conflict in Cabo Delgado continue to impact the humanitarian situation, while the nation grapples with the increasing effects of climate change, persistent economic vulnerabilities, and political unrest. These interconnected issues pose significant hurdles to development and stability. Simultaneously, the United States navigates its own set of complexities. The political landscape remains deeply divided, economic inequality persists, and social issues continue to be at the forefront of public discourse. The US also faces the ongoing challenge of defining its role in global affairs, navigating intricate international relationships. These challenges, in both Mozambique and the US, will undoubtedly shape the context of our work and discussions within the Rede de Aprendizagem in the coming year. We wish you a 2025 of light, filled with hope and positive developments. We look forward to continuing this journey of learning and collaboration with you. Happy reading!
