SPEED-

The SPEED Project, funded by DAI under the CSO support programme promoting transparency and accountability in Mozambique, aims to increase awareness and participation of citizens and CSOs to advocate for greater transparency and accountability of public authorities to fulfil their commitments and legal obligations in public finance management (PFM) and extractive resource governance. The project will be implemented over a period of 24 months.

Objectives
The main objective of the project is to increase awareness and participation of citizens and civil society organizations to advocate for greater transparency and accountability of public authorities at various levels in order to fulfil stated commitments and legal obligations of Public Finance Management and sound management of extractive resources.

Objectives aligned with the EPA

Objective 1. contribute to increasing the government's social accountability for its commitments to use extractive resource revenues to benefit the population and promote inclusive development, and
Objective 2. strengthen civil society oversight and awareness to improve government accountability and transparency to comply with institutional and legal provisions for public financial management.

Place of implementation: Maputo, Tete and Cabo Delgado
